WHAT WE DID
The company had high demand for their products, a large variety of product types and long lead times. We implemented LEAN thinking with improved flow in the manufacturing processes, implemented KanBan to key suppliers. Daily planning of orders was moved to “floor” and process for conscious improvement was implemented. The result was amazing: Lead time from 3 month to a week, inventory turnover went from 4 to 12 and delivery accuracy from 40% to >90%.
